    Trekking Har Ki Dun: An Adventure in the God’s Place

    Har ki dun Trek

    Trekking Har Ki Dun is one of the best hikes, and it has another name Ruinsara. The place has an ancient culture, spectacular mountain views, dense forests, grasslands, meadows, fascinating rivers, streams, and even an alpine lake. The trail is difficult to trek in summers, while other routes are difficult because of the ridge path and rocky straight footway. The views of the Himalayas look appropriate and perfect from Hark ki Dunn Trek.

    The Har ki Dun Trek is located at a height of approximately 3500 meters. Har Ki Dun valley is situated on the western flank of Garhwal in the Uttarkashi district is popular with trekkers and climbers. Har ki Dun is a main source for the Yamuna River System and the major source of the largest tributary of Yamuna. It has a fascinating path to walk towards the Swargarohini group of peaks.

    It is a lovely experience to camp around the river, which has a wide variety of flora and fauna. The sound of flowing water of the river and great hills. The Swargorohini peak is a little far from the Sankari range of western Garhwal.

    Swargarohini peak is also known as the “Way to heaven.” It is located at an altitude of 14,500 feet. You can also take a view of Chaukhamba Peaks and Kuber Parvat with snow-capped mountains. The place has a lake named Chaukhamba. The site’s local people believe that Lord Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh took a bath in this lake’s waters. The Sankri village is approximately 15 kilometers from the Swargarohini Peak.

It is the only Hindu temple in Uttarakhand. The temple is reachable from the other sites also like Kayamkulam and Karunagappally. Duryodhan never believed in fighting for the Land or for Power. The Duryodhan died because Karna dies. Karna was the ultimate guide to him. He shows the actual path to him to survive peacefully.

    The way from Kalkattiyadhar to Har ki Dun has mesmerizing views of the area’s scenic mountains. Kalkattiyadhar is located at an altitude of approximately 12,000 feet. It will take 4 to 5 hours to reach the Kalkattiyadhar, and it is around 5 kilometers. You can walk in the mid of the forest in between the wide variety of flora and fauna. The path towards the Har ki Dun is an incline and difficult to trek on. The riverside camping and trekking between the hills is a great adventurous sport, making your trip memorable. You can view the fascinating hills Swargarohini, Hata Peak, Black Peak around the Kalkattiyadhar mountain.

    Pauni Garaat

    The Pauni Garaat has approximately 15 kilometers far from the main destination Pauni Garaat. The tourist has to go via Osla to Kalkattiyadhar. Minimum eight hours in total it will take to reach the Pauni Garaat. The riverside camping in the Govind national park forests. You can enjoy the amazing views of the Mountains all around the Pauni Garaat. There are many valleys and rivers, lakes in the middle of the journey towards Har ki Dun. It covers most of the path while trekking from Khattiyadhar to Osla, Osla to Pauni Garaat. You can hike and camp on the way to Pauni Garaat to Har ki Dun. The best month to visit is from August to November.
