Jibhi is a beautiful town nestled just 100 kilometres from Manali in the Tirthan Valley. It is a beautiful that is well-connected to Delhi and all other major cities in India. Let’s see how we can reach here.

By Flight:

Kullu is the nearest airport to Jibhi, situated 55 kilometres from Jibhi. Cabs and local buses are easily available from the airport in this little town.

By Train:

The Jogindernagar Railway Station is the closest one from here, where major trains stop, situated just 150 kilometres away.  From the railway station, buses and taxis are available regularly for Jibhi.

By Bus:

The best way to reach here is by road. It is an extremely scenic route and also extremely affordable!

The distance from Delhi to Jibhi is 469 kilometres by road. You can also take this route by bus.

  • There are no direct bus services between Delhi and Jibhi, so you will have to catch a bus from Delhi to Aut.
  • Aut is a little town just before Bhuntar that acts as a getaway to many popular destinations in Himachal Pradesh.
  • Regular HRTC buses are available on a daily basis along this route for prices ranging between Rs. 700 and Rs. 1300.
  • From Aut, Jibhi is just 35 kilometres away. Local buses, private taxis and shared taxis are easily available along the route. If you catch one, you will easily reach Jibhi.

By Road:

The road between Jibhi and Delhi is motorable and quite scenic. It takes you through the Himalayas in a beautiful manner. If you drive your own car continuously, it will take you about 10 hours to reach Jibhi. 

There are two routes you can take:

  • Delhi – Ambala – Chandigarh – Bilaspur – Mandi – Jibhi [via NH44]
  • Delhi – Karnal – Ambala – Chandigarh – Rupnagar – Mandi – Jibhi [via NH3]

Best Time to Visit Jibhi

Jibhi is best visited in summer and winter. During summer, the weather is pleasant, perfect for escaping Delhi’s heat. During winter, you will find many winter trekking options here, and the weather is also great. If you’re interested in snow, you can see a considerable amount of snowfall here from November to January. Monsoon is not recommended as the area gets quite slippery, and roads also tend to be blocked.

1. Jalori Pass

Jalori Pass is the starting point of the trek, and you can climb about 3 kilometres from there to reach here. Take on this trek only if you’re fit enough!

The Shri Shringa Rishi Temple is one of the most important and valued temples in Jibhi. It is dedicated to one of the chief Gods of Kullu and is a beautifully designed temple. From here, you can start the trek to Chehni Kothi. Remember that this is a religious place, so dress modestly and respect the deity. 

Jibhi Itinerary for 3 Days

Day 1:

  • Reach Jibhi from Delhi by afternoon.
  • Explore the Jibhi Waterfall after your arrival. 
  • Get some dinner at a café and rest for the night.

Day 2:

  • Set out early on the Jalori Pass trek.
  • From there, you can also move a bit further to Serolsar Lake.
  • If you have time, you can also trek to Raghupur Fort from there.
  • Finish the Jalori Pass trek by late afternoon and return for some snacks.
  • Visit the Shringa Rishi Temple.
  • Get back to your hotel and rest.

Day 3:

  • Visit the Tirthan Valley or the nearby Chehni Kothi.
  • You can spend the day trekking to Chehni Kothi or take a taxi/cab or a bus to  Chhole Waterfalls, a beautiful place just 15 kilometres from Jibhi.
  • Return and leave for Delhi.
