But, there is a belief among Lord Shiva’s devotees that he is still there and in a deep sleep.

Temple is known for the Tarkasur, a demon who devoted and truly meditated Lord Shiva for immortality. Lord Shiva gave him the value of true meditation. After taking the boon, he killed innocent people, destroying the earth’s sterile environment.

So, after marrying Parvati, Lord Shiva gave birth to Kartikeya, and he punished and killed Tarkasur. But, at the time of his death, Tarkasur somehow made Lord Shiva agree that he would be Prayed in Kalyug. Since then, the Temple has been known as Tadkeshwar Mahadev Temple.

The sterile environment and relaxing view of the Temple’s surroundings make everyone speechless. The scenic view of the Temple’s background with the Himalayan Ranges makes visiting special.
