    The temple is constructed so spiritually that the temple’s entrance faces east and gates to 2 Courtyards. You will see a Nandi statue with three heads in it as you enter the temple. There’s a pillared Hall in the centre of the temple.

    If you are an NRI or an international traveller, you have to register yourself police station, or there are police outposts to take your details and then visit the temple. This temple is crowded 365 days a year. Citizens of the town of Hampi celebrate an annual festival in February. During the festival, it is considered one of the top places to visit in Hampi.

    You can visit the Virupaksha temple from morning 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The temple is closed between 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. You can see the temple in the evening from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. There are no entry fees to visit the temple.
