Kishangarh Fort and its Giant Wall

Kishangarh Fort, the jewel of the small town of Kishangarh, is nestled amid the Aravali hills. The fort can be referred to as a vintage property, now inherited by the Kishangarh king’s heirs. The Maharajas of Jaipur and Jodhpur built the fort. Besides the fort, a “Bake Bihari Temple” was built by “Marathas.” The temple designs, sculptures and architecture are so unique it shows the traditions of Marathas. The fort’s buildings and walls are weakened. Sixty per cent of the fort has vanished, but in forty per cent of the fort’s area, there are Temples, half disappeared Palaces; the fort has the weakest surroundings; there are Cannons in the fort, Sheesh Mahal, Deewan-e-Aam, Deewan-e-Khaas, Rang Mahal, Mosques, etc.

The fort is built of three “kot.” Every fort is created using only one kot, but the Kishangarh fort is made using three kot, i.e., the “sand kot,” the “hill kot,” and the “water kot.” The fort also has the “Hawa Mahal,” built to gift the Queen as a “Hawai Palace.” The fort that has never been through a war can call it a Peace fort until the date. The fortress has a well filled with drinking water and food, and the Marathas built dams around the fort.
