Govind Ghat

The Govind Ghat is a small town in Chamoli District. The fascinating ghat has many scenic views at such a height. It also has a bazaar, souvenir shops, grocery shops, hotels, guest houses, and many other facilities to make your trip memorable. Govind Ghat is called to be the meeting point for the Alaknanda and Lakshman Ganga rivers. Govind Ghat is located approximately 25 kilometers from the Joshimath on NH58 at an altitude of 6,000 feet.

There is a gurudwara for the visitors to explore the spirituality of Govind Ghat. Anyone cannot even imagine a gurudwara with scenic views of the Govind Ghat. It is located on the Alaknanda rivers’ right bank, and this is the important landmark of the complete Govind Ghat. The people gather in the evening to sit and relax with the friends and enjoy Govind Ghat’s views.

The Gurudwara is located in the Himalayas at an altitude of 4,400 meters (14,000 feet). Valley of Flowers Trek It is approached and worshiped from Govindghat on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway. The main village near the Gurudwara is Govind Ghat in Joshimath, and it is also a great place to stay before starting your trip towards Hemkund Sahib.

Ghangaria

Ghangaria is a small village after crossing Hemkund Sahib, and you can enjoy the views of different lakes and the panoramic views of the high altitudinal hills. You can make a stay here before reaching your main destination that means the Valley of Flowers. The Ghangaria is approximately 10 kilometers from the Shri Hemkund Sahib. The Flowers national park Valley known for its Valley of flowers, is around 5 kilometers from Ghangaria.

The Ghangaria is mainly located at the meeting point of Bhyundar Ganga and Pushpawati, which forms the Laxman Ganga river and later merges with the river Alaknanda Govindghat. Ghangaria is primarily used as a stay point or as a base camp by the visitors during the trip to Hemkund and the Valley of Flowers Trek.

Lakshman temple

The Lakshman Temple is a small spiritual place after crossing Hemkund Sahib. It is not much famous or not to a great to visit. It is a cute little temple to visit. The Temple has the sculpture of Lord Laxman. The Temple’s architecture and views Temple are simple and sober to explore. In summers, the Temple looks simple, and it is fine if you do not visit the Temple. But, in winters, the scenario becomes different.
